Brett Dennen announces new U.S. tour dates in October

2011 has proved to be a good year for Brett Dennen.

In April, he released his fourth studio album, Loverboy, and has toured steadily since May to promote it. Dennen’s schedule has slowed down for August and September, but come October he’s back to the daily grind with a ton of new concert dates.

Brett Dennen tickets are available from Oct. 4 at the Georgia Theatre in Athens through Oct. 28 in Buffalo, N.Y.

Additional tour dates include Oct. 5 in Chattanooga, Tenn.; Oct. 6 at Nashville’s “Live On The Green” in Public Square Park; Oct. 10 in Covington, Ky.; Oct. 11 in Bloomington, Ind.; Oct. 12 in Madison, Wisc.; Oct. 15 in St. Louis; Oct. 18 in Memphis; Oct. 24 in Grand Rapids, Mich.; and Oct. 26 in Baltimore.

Special guest Blind Pilot will support Dennen’s tour from Oct. 10-24, save Oct. 16 at Charleston, W. Va.

Brett Dennen Celebrates Mosaic Project

Brett Dennen has long been a supporter of the Mosaic Project and this year he will be putting on a special concert in honor of their 10th Anniversary. The event is scheduled for Sunday June 27th.

The Mosaic Project “empowers children to create peace now, build communities across differences and break down stereotyping, prejudice and discrimination.” Dubbed the project’s, “Resident Rock Star,” Dennen has created a musical curriculum for the children. He wrote and composed songs for each subject taught at Mosaic. These songs have been organized into The Mosaic Project CD, which covers issues about empathy, diversity, conflict resolution and peace.

Brett Dennen touring with Dave Matthews Band

Brett Dennen is joining one of the most anticipated – and appreciated- tours of the summer: Dave Matthews Band.

The singer joins a number of performer who will support the legendary rockers, including Sharon Jones and the Dap Kings, Ben Harper, Zac Brown Band, Gov’t Mule and Raphael Saadiq, among others.

Brett Dennen tickets will be available in late February.

Dennen Joins Mraz for Free Show

Brett Dennen will join singer/songwriter Jason Mraz for a few California dates early October, the last of which is at the Cricket Wireless Amphitheater in Chula Vista, Calif., on October 11th.

So what’s the big deal? Well, the Chula Vista show is FREE. Ok, that’s not entirely true. Pavilion seats are $1 per seat, and the lawn is free. And no service fees. What a great way to end Dennen’s tour!

Brett Dennen still on the road with “Hope”

Brett Dennen has hit the road hard after the release of his third studio album, “Hope for the Hopeless.”

The singer trekked across the country all winter on a solo trek, and has spent a majority of the summer traveling with rockers O.A.R. This fall, he plans to travel Europe in a big way.

“Hope” was Dennen’s highest-charting album, debuting at No. 41 on the Billboard 200. The singer released “So Much More” in 2006, and the EP “(More) So Much More” in 2007.

Brett Dennen, the folk singer/songwriter from California, is currently on tour throughout the U.S. and Canada until the beginning of October.

To date, Dennen has released three studio albums–Brett Dennen (2004), So Much More (2006), and Hope for the Hopeless (2008).

Hope for the Hopeless was released in 2008 and debuted at No. 41 on the Billboard 200 chart, which made this his highest selling album.
